MultiFinder

PathoFinder has developed and validated the MultiFinder technology. This technology enables detection and differentiation of up to 20 viral and bacterial targets in a single molecular diagnostic assay.

This multiplex technology is perfectly suited for the molecular detection of infectious diseases (multiple infections can be detected as well). The presence of viral and/or bacterial nucleic acids results in DNA fragments of a very specific size. Separation of the DNA fragments on a detection system precisely reveals the source of the infection. Based on the MultiFinder technology PathoFinder offers several diagnostic tests for Respiratory pathogens. These tests can be analysed on several detection systems. In 2009 PathoFinder will also launch MultiFinder kits for Sexually Transmitted Diseases as well as for Viral Meningitis.

Real Time PCR

Apart from the MultiFinder products, PathoFinder also offers a number of Real Time PCR assays. These products contain optimized and validated sets of primers and probes for Real Time PCR.
