PathoFinder participates in QCMD programs

Pathofinder QCMD certificate Quality Control for Molecular Diagnostics (QCMD, www.qcmd.org) is an international Extenal Quality Assessment (EQA) provider for molecular diagnosis of infectious agents. QCMD has a extensive EQA portfolio with a wide range of clinical relevant infectious diseases and includes schemes for the assessment of microbial load, genotyping and drug resistance.

In the past years PathoFinder has already participated in many EQA programs for both the MultiFinder as well as the RealAccurate products. In 2008 the following panels were involved:

  • EVRNA08 (Enterovirus and Parechovirus)
  • HSVDNA08 (Herpes Simplex Virus)
  • CP.MP08 (Chlamydophila and Mycoplasma pneumoniae)
  • CMVDNA08 (Cytomegalovirus)
  • EBVDNA08 (Epstein-Barr virus)
  • CTDNA08B (Chlamydia trachomatis)
  • NgDNA08 (Neisseria gonorrhoeae)
  • MTBDNA08 (Mycobacterium tuberculosis)
  • LPDNA08 (Legionella pneumophila)
  • RV.CVRNA08 (Rhinovirus and Coronavirus)
  • MPV.RSV08 (Metapneumovirus and Respiratory Syncytial virus)
  • ADVDNA08 (Adenovirus)
  • PINFRNA (Parainfluenza virus)
  • INFRNA08 (Influenza virus A and B)
